Our Bowl for Hope was a success and we rolled the ball against cancer it again. We thank all our sponsors and supporters who attended our amazing event. As always, it will not happen without the extraordinary leadership and incredible initiative of Kelly Roberts, President of WILD of her bringing the WILD Team to support our charity. We missed her presence at the event but she was there in spirit with us. WILD is the best! 

We also extend our heartfelt thank you to Helen Arteaga Landaverde, CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals /Elmhurst for her unwavering support to us as always. Thank you, everyone! Until the next Bowl for Hope!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month #bcam

As an organization we strive daily to move towards the realization of a world that exists without the looming threat of this monstrous disease. The statistics still mark our women as 1 in 8 that will develop breast cancer over the course of her life. That’s not okay.

We believe that creating a world without breast cancer involves finding a cure AND doing everything that we can for those who are already touched by it. That is why we do our best to provide support to Survivors via health providers who truly care like NYC Health + Hospitals Elmhurst and through our Water Sports and Holistic Life Programs.

As Survivors we understand the importance of fighting for your life once it has been touched by breast cancer. We know that the fight doesn’t stop after diagnosis or even after surgery and treatment. It is an ongoing battle that everyone: Needs to be aware of, Help support these women through, and Contribute to bring an end to. Please help us continue to do that! With your support we can do more .

This BCAM, we celebrate our President/Founder Leah as the heart of Paddle for the Cure NYC. As a breast cancer survivor and a Filipina-American, she is the hope, faith, courage, and strength at our core. Through her and our community work, we hope to touch the lives of our pink sisters. One life, one paddle, one heart at a time. 

At the heart of a family and the success of every Filipino home is a Filipina woman. Ours is our proudly Filipino-American Founder/President Leah. From our home to yours, Happy Filipino-American History Month everyone!

A few years ago, our President/Founder’s story was published and featured in the NYC Health + Hospital website’s Patient Stories. Today, we reminisce that memory and feel grateful for NYC Health + Hospitals /Elmhurst and for Dr. Niriksha Chandrani’s help during Leah’s fight with cancer. Thanks to you, we are inspired to continue growing and paddling stronger against cancer!
