A WORD FROM LEAH

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month #bcam As an organization we strive daily to move towards the realization of a world that exists without the looming threat of this monstrous disease. The statistics still mark our women as 1 in 8 that will develop breast cancer over the course of her life. That’s not okay. We believe that creating a world without breast cancer involves finding a cure AND doing everything that we can for those who are already touched by it. That is why we do our best to provide support to Survivors via health providers who truly care like NYC Health + Hospitals Elmhurst and through our Water Sports and Holistic Life Programs. As Survivors we understand the importance of fighting for your life once it has been touched by breast cancer. We know that the fight doesn’t stop after diagnosis or even after surgery and treatment. It is an ongoing battle that everyone: Needs to be aware of, Help support these women through, and Contribute to bring an end to. Please help us continue to do that! MOTHER TERESA AND ME

We’re so happy to announce that our Founder/President Leah was given 541 tickets to the film screening of the movie Mother Teresa and Me! This is very special for us Mother Teresa inspired Leah to continue her works when she rebuilt PFC. She asked her intercession to help her navigate how to run the charity at times when the charity was penniless. She would seek help after her service at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and prayed to Mother Teresa. Miraculously, an anonymous donor from Iran helped her meet the needs of the reorganization. Mother Teresa is her guardian and guide. It is our honor to help spread her message of giving.  In light of this blessing from the Mother Teresa and Me Ambassador Program, please contact us if you want to join us in the screenings at the AMC Empire 25 Theater.

MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL

Last September 28, PFC was invited by Mayor Eric Adams to join the Mid-autumn Festival also known as Moon Festival at Gracie Mansion. PFC ambassadors, also paddlers and staff of Elmhurst Hospital in attendance are Belinda Rosales, Maria de la Rosa, Dayana Tenempaguay, and Doreen Gatanas. 10.10 CHALLENGE

Happy Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Since this is our very special month, we have so much in store for all of you.  In the spirit of our 3A’s Advocacy, Awareness, and Action, we need your support to spread awareness on breast cancer through our survivorship programs. Introducing our 10.10 Challenge for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For a small donation of 10$ before October 10, you can help feed and support ten survivors in our program.
