Consultant- Chester Medina
Chester Medina is one of the most recognized name in the field of catering & corporate events in New York City. His experience in food service & events began when he was in College working part time at a fast food chain as the guest relations representative and at the same time spearheading events in school as the Business Manager of the University Student Council.
He pursued his passions by attending De La Salle University in the Philippines, graduating with a BS in Marketing Management and New York University with a Professional Certificate in Digital Media Marketing. Combining his talents in food and events, he started his humble career in Catering and Special Events in 2002 where he managed and supervised the catering department of a Latin Café and Catering Company in New York City. He then worked for more than 13 years with different Executive Chef’s directing food
operations and events in a number of catering companies in Manhattan and event venues.
Among the many events he catered include – MTV/Nickelodeon Christmas Party, Oscar De La Renta Fashion Shows, Tranoi Fashion Trade Shows, Diplomatic and International Affairs events in the United Nations and its agencies, Corporate Launch, Gala Receptions, Gallery Openings and many more. He was also chosen to cater an event for Miss World 2013 and Hillary Clinton’s Campaign reception in 2014. He also catered an event reception and appeared in Bravo TV’s Million Dollar Listing in its season episode in 2012 and 2014.
Currently, he is an active member of his alumni organization and collaborates with young professionals in raising funds to help the less fortunate kids and provide them scholarships. In his free time, he also participates in Catholic charismatic group and assist them in outreach programs such us medical missions and retreats. He believes that by joining the Paddle for the Cure, he could inspire people through the use of his talents, professional experience, linking his networks and give back to the breast cancer community.
